This is the reason why Taylor Rapp isn’t starting against the Chiefs in the Conference Championship game
The Buffalo Bills will be without key player Rapp as they look to reach their first Super Bowl in more than 30 years.

The Buffalo Bills are hoping to take down reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, although they’ll have to do so without one key man: Taylor Rapp.
The 27-year-old safety played in 14 of the Bills’ 17 regular season games, missing the Week 5 defeat to the Texans due to concussion and victories over the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots in Weeks 15 and 16 because of a neck issue.
Rapp returned for the final two games of the regular season and started in the Divisional Round win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend. However, he had to be taken off the field on a cart after a visit to the medical tent, failing to return to the game.

Why isn’t Taylor Rapp playing for the Bills against the Chiefs today?
Ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs, Bills coach Sean McDermott confirmed on Friday that Rapp would be missing due to the hip/back injury he suffered last week.
The Atlanta native, who won the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, picked off Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in the Divisional Round before being forced off but won’t have the opportunity to do the same to Patrick Mahomes, who is expected to play for the Chiefs.
Who will replace Taylor Rapp for the Bills vs the Chiefs?
Rookie Cole Bishop, who has started four games already for the Bills this season, is expected to line up alongside starting safety Damar Hamlin.
“He’s a young player, but at the same time, he’s grown,” said McDermott of Bishop. “He’s grown through each experience, and I’m confident he’ll continue to do that moving forward.”
The Bills lost to the Chiefs the last time they reached the AFC Championship Game in 2020 and are looking to make it to their first Super Bowl since 1993, when they lost to the Dallas Cowboys.
