The Green Bay Packers will host the Tennessee Titans in NFL Week 11 on Thursday 17th, November at Lambeau Field. Having avoided disaster with an overtime win over the Cowboys, the Packers are now on the hunt for a playoff spot.

To say that the Packers needed to win in Week 10 would be an understatement. Quite frankly, Green Bay’s season and perhaps even Aaron Rodgers continued starting spot depended on it. Ultimately, they were able to deliver and now face a team that has won six of its last seven games. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin and we’re quite sure it’s going to be an entertaining one.

Titans vs Packers: What to know

The Packers are on the up

Though the Packers have got an outstanding running back in Aaron Jones, most of the chatter following Sunday’s overtime win over the Cowboys has been about the emergence of rookie wide receiver Christian Watson. The young wideout posted 107 yards on four catches with three touchdowns against Dallas. There’s no doubt star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be targeting the rising star with every opportunity he gets come Thursday night. Though it took some time as their 4-6 record shows, it would appear that the Packers have found their footing. The only question is can they maintain against a Tennessee team that has a lethal running back of their own?

The Titans lead the AFC South for a reason

Though there are a number of reasons, why the Titans currently sit on top of the AFC South with a 6-3 record, one of the central ones has got to be running back, Derrick Henry. Currently ranked No. 2 in the league in rushing yards (923) and rushing touchdowns (nine), Henry has been nothing less than exceptional. Add to that, the fact that quarterback Ryan Tannehill is now back in the mix following an impressive showing against the Broncos in their Week 10 victory and you could say the Titans have got a boost. Perhaps the only downside here is that Tennessee is missing a number of starters, but then so too are the Packers.

What’s the head-to-head between the Packers and Titans?

Surprisingly, the two teams have only met on 13 occasions, with the Titans currently leading the series 7-6-0. The last time they faced each other was back in 2020 and on that day Green Bay got the win with a 40-14 score. Prior to that, it was a 47-25 victory for the Titans in 2016. In truth the teams have been trading losses one-by-one since the Titans were known as the Houston Oilers and it’s worth noting the games have always generally been high scoring. We don’t see much reason to think that will be any different on Thursday night.
