Update:

Now at the halfway point of the season, both teams are in similar shape where the playoff picture is concerned i.e., neither terrible nor great. With that in mind, a win for either would be absolutely critical to the cause as they go forward.

Week 9 will kick off with the Tennessee Titans visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football in what promises to be an intense affair. For their part, the Titans are fresh off of a win at home against the Atlanta Falcons which took their record to 3-4 on the season so far, however, it’s worth noting that on the Road they’ve got a record of 0-3. Where the Steelers are concerned, they set on 4-3 at the moment but are a team that has historically done very well in November.

Regarding the status of players, Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett says he expects to play, and adding further weight to that idea is the fact that he did not receive an injury designation following what looked to be a rib injury suffered in last week’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. As for the Titans, quarterback Ryan Tannehill is set to miss his second straight game with an injured ankle, meaning rookie Will Levis will once again be the man in the middle. In last week’s win - his NFL debut - he threw four touchdown passes. There is also wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who is questionable with a toe injury after catching three touchdown passes from Levis last week. Hopkins was absent from practice on Wednesday after seeing limited participation earlier this week. You can see the full injury report for both teams below:
