Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford run-in was “unplanned”
Rumors that Brady is trying to get QB Matthew Stafford to join the Las Vegas Raiders were shut down by an NFL insider, despite reports saying they’d met up.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is seeking a renegotiated contract worth at least $50 million annually, but the Rams don’t necessarily want to pay him. So, they’ve allowed Stafford’s agent to discuss potential trades with other teams.
Brady rumors shut down
Tom Brady, who is now a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, is reportedly seeking out Stafford to come play for the Raiders. Several reports recently said that Brady even hosted Stafford at his home in Montana, where the two went skiing together.
However, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shut down that rumor, stating that it was a mere coincidence that the two were both at the same ski resort in Montana.

FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz reported that “conversations are ongoing” between the two. If that is indeed the case, there might be an argument that there’s a violation of the NFL’s tampering rules. The Rams may have allowed Stafford’s agent to speak to other teams, but not necessarily Stafford to speak directly with team owners.
Still, the Raiders remain a clear suitor for Stafford. They have the second-most cap space in the league this year with around $100 million. They could easily pay Stafford what he wants.
