There’s no other like Tom Brady
When taking a look at the way Tom Brady continues to play, it’s hard to believe that he’s now 45-years-old and has just concluded his 23rd season in the NFL. While we’re sure, that he’s not pleased with the manner in which the campaign came to an end, with the Bucs losing to the Dallas Cowboys - a team he’s never lost to - in the Wild Card Round, Brady overcame a divorce and even a tampering scandal to turn in a performance this season, that didn’t just prove the doubters wrong, but it set records. Tom Brady’s Super Bowls
While it’s crazy even to us, Tom Brady has played in an unbelievable 10 Super Bowls and amassed a record of 7-3 playing in the league’s biggest game. The last of course, was against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2020-21 season. To be clear, no other player in NFL history has competed in 10 Super Bowls. The next two in line, are Mike Lodish, former defensive lineman for the Bills and Broncos, as well as Titan’s kicker Stephen Gostkowski - Brady’s former teammate - both of whom have 6 Super Bowls under their respective belts. After that, the only other quarterback who comes close - sort of - is John Elway who played in 5.
Incidentally, Brady, is also the fourth QB to start Super Bowls for two different teams (Patriots and Buccaneers). The other three were Peyton Manning (Colts and Broncos), Craig Morton (Cowboys and Broncos), and Kurt Warner (Rams and Cardinals). Yet, that’s not the only record Brady has where the Super Bowl is concerned. The Bucs’ signal caller also sits atop the lists for passing yards with 2,838, pass attempts at 392, touchdown passes for 18 and completions with 256.
Ringleader: Nobody has more Super Bowl rings than Tom Brady
As mentioned above, Brady has posted a 7-3 record when it comes to the Super Bowl, which obviously means he’s got seven rings in the cabinet. In case you weren’t sure, yes, that is more than anybody else. Of those seven victories, six were achieved with the Patriots, while the most recent was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His wins with the Patriots came in the following order against these opponents: LA Rams (2001 and 2018), Panthers (2003), Eagles (2004), Seahawks (2014) and Falcons (2016). Of course, we already mentioned that the last - playing for the Buccaneers - was against the Chiefs in 2020.
What about Tom Brady’s MVP Awards
Is there anything this man doesn’t own? By now you can probably guess that Brady has been the best for some time. In keeping with that, he’s been voted The Most Valuable Player of Super Bowls XXXVI (36), XXXVIII (38), XLIX (49), LI (51) and LV (55). That’s five Super Bowl MVPs to be clear and no, nobody else has that many. In addition to that, he’s also been selected as the league’s MVP on three different occasions: 2007, 2010 and 2017.
How many career touchdown passes does Tom Brady have?
As the prolific quarterback in the history of the game, TB12 has registered an astonishing 649 regular season touchdown passes which is the most in history, as well as 88 in the playoffs, which incredibly is also the most. Having just bowed out of the playoffs via a 31-14 loss to the Cowboys in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, questions surrounding whether or not Brady will retire have continued to intensify.
