Tom Brady talks about tennis great Roger Federer
Ahead of Roger Federer’s retirement, the NFL’s own great quarterback had some kind words to say about the tennis legend.
The NFL offseason saw quarterback Tom Brady retire and then unretire just 40 days later. It’s a tough decision for someone as competitive and successful as Brady is and has been.
So when tennis legend Roger Federer announced his decision to retire on Sept. 15, Brady had some things to say.
“He had a great run,” said Brady of Federer. “He maximized his opportunities. That’s all we can ask for ourselves.”
On Friday, Federer teamed up with Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup playing the last match of his illustrious career. The O2 Arena teared up as the Swiss ace bid his farewell, just a few weeks after the legendary Serena Williams hung up her racket.
