Tom Brady’s future: What teams might he play for in the 2023 NFL season?
Despite the loss against the Cowboys, Tom Brady is still a capable QB, and plenty of teams will want to sign him.
After losing 31-14 to the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round of the 2022 NFL playoffs, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated from postseason play, and the greatest quarterback in league history is once again a free agent. Despite being 45 years old, Brady is still playing at a high level and just set a new record for most completions in a season. He has been evasive about his plans for the future.
When Brady was free agency again after the 2019 season, he departed the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won the Super Bowl in his first year with the team. He came out of retirement following the Buccaneers’ divisional round exit last year and then guided them to the NFC South championship.
What is next for Tom Brady after the Buccaneers
Brady once again has leeway. He may sign with another club or retire and become a TV commentator, or he might return to the Bucs hoping to win his seventh Super Bowl.
It’s also worth noting that Brady and Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler go back to their time spent together with the New England Patriots. This is one of several factors that put the Raiders in a favorable position to sign the first-ballot Hall of Famer.
Thus, Brady’s potential clients aren’t restricted to the Raiders. Instead, we’re talking about a quarterback who is still very good at his position, despite a recent drop in performance.
