Update:

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady sat down with professional wrestler Logan Paul to promote an upcoming flag football event in Saudi Arabia, and it didn’t take long for Brady to remind the influencer-turned-WWE star exactly who he was dealing with.

“I’m actually a little worried for you,” Brady told Paul during the podcast appearance, referencing Paul’s plan to compete alongside current and former NFL stars. “You’re a good athlete… but these guys are on another level.”

Paul, never one to back away from the spotlight, fired back by leaning into his WWE persona.

“Can Saquon Barkley do a flip off the top rope?” he asked.

Brady’s response was calm, cutting, and went instantly viral.

“It’s cute,” he said with a smile. “I love WWE. It’s very cute. But this is real football. This is real competition.”

Why Tom Brady isn’t buying Logan Paul’s confidence

The exchange came while promoting the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, a star-studded event set to take place in Riyadh as the NFL continues pushing its global footprint. The lineup features elite athletes, massive personalities, and, in Paul’s case, a crossover star eager to prove he belongs. Brady, however, wasn’t buying the comparison.

While Paul cited his high school football background and elite athleticism, Brady made it clear that experience under NFL-level pressure still matters, even in a non-contact format.

“These are guys who’ve been doing this their whole lives,” Brady said, pointing to current and former pros expected to compete. “This isn’t a gimmick.”

Still, Brady wasn’t entirely unsupportive. In fact, he offered Paul a conditional olive branch.

“If you’re on my team, then we’ll be best friends,” Brady joked, adding that he’d happily throw him the ball, as long as the routes were sharp. If Paul dropped a pass, though...

“I’ll motherf*** you like I did Edelman and Gronk,” Brady said.

Despite the blunt delivery, there was no real hostility between the two. If anything, the exchange highlighted how well both men understand their roles. Paul thrives on provocation, while Brady thrives on competition. Put them together, and you get viral content that sells an event.

Whether Logan Paul rises to the challenge or becomes part of the highlight reel remains to be seen. But when Tom Brady says something is “real football”, he expects everyone else to treat it that way.
