Update:

As the Kansas City Chiefs get ready for the 2025 NFL season in just a few weeks, tight end Travis Kelce has been busy on and off the field. He’s taking his training seriously after an unusually low production in numbers last season, and he’s been in the media constantly.

Kelce’s GQ spotlight

When training camp began for the Chiefs, Kelce took a break from the podcast he hosts (“New Heights”) alongside his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. That returned this week with a bombshell episode featuring his girlfriend, pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Kelce has always been a huge presence on the Chiefs, but his association with Swift hoisted him into a whole new dimension of limelight. The same week the podcast was announced and released, Kelce was part of an interview with GQ Sport in which he got refreshingly candid.

It so happens that they also shot a video with Kelce, in which he names his “10 essentials”, including a golf bag, Airpods, and cologne.

In fact, the bit about the cologne ended up going off the rails a bit as Kelce tried to explain the three different kinds he brought with him, but struggled to pronounce the names.

“Today, I have two Louis and one ex...ex-nee-hee-lo? I’m not sure how to pronounce it guys, I’m sorry,” Kelce said of the first cologne - Ex Nihilo.

“This Louis is...I can’t speak French. I actually, uh, fun fact, failed French as a freshman and I wasn’t allowed to play football my sophomore year,” Kelce explained. “So, kids, make sure you do your homework.”

The second cologne he was referring to was Louis Vuitton’s Attrape-Rêves, but Kelce did not even attempt to pronounce that one. The video is just another example of Kelce’s sweet character and down-to-earth/relatable personality.
