Update:

It’s been quite a busy week for Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end invited an illustrious guest onto the New Heights podcast he hosts with his brother Jason - his girlfriend Taylor Swift, who spoke exclusively about her forthcoming album. Wednesday’s edition drew in a record audience of 10.8 million, smashing the previous best, when eight million tuned in to hear the chat with Jason’s wife, Kylie.

And on Friday, Travis traveled to Seattle for the Chiefs’ second games of the preseason, against the Seahawks although once again he watched the team from the sidelines.

A keen golfer with a handicap of 14, this week he also appeared on the front cover of GQ magazine in which he gave an extensive interview in which he discussed various topics including aspects of his game, his admiration for Swift’s work ethic preparing and carrying out the Eras Tour, his love of all sports, of music, life... and golf.

As part of the package, he delved into his golf bag - complete with tags (“like little trinkets”) to show us all of the items he never leaves the home without.

This is my golf bag! I love to golf on my free time,” Travis began. “I have a lot of these fun courses that I’ve played - they’re like little trinkets. They give you souvenirs - shout out to Malbon, shout out to the Wynn Las Vegas, shout out to Pinehurst too. I only got to see you for eight holes because I am notoriously late wherever I go”.

The first item out of Kelce’s golf bag, an unusual putter cover. “It’s a Nike shoe. I don’t believe Nike made off-white Virgil Jordan ones in a 6C, so, this was custom-made”.

Baseball caps and childhood chain

Straight onto item number two - a collection of baseball caps. “Another one of my essentials, my hats. Just a mixed bag of hats - some mean something, some don’t... My favorite logo of all-time, the Chicago Black Hawk. Shout out to Tony Amonte, Chris Chelios... some of the legends back in the 90s. I feel like I like vintage hats because I like the old-school logos whether it’s hockey, NBA, NFL... I don’t really wear any other team other than the Chiefs. As a kids I absolutely loved them so I gravitate towards the 90s version”.

Onto the next item, “Another essential, my Heights chain - woo hoo! This is from the man himself, Ben Baller. This is actually my city logo, you can see the C and the H in there for Cleveland Heights. It’s got the trees ‘cos we live in very green area on the east side of Cleveland. A lot of parks that I played in. These are the streets I was running around in growing up. I take a little bit of the Heights with me everywhere I go”.

“Who doesn’t love smelling good?”

The tight end says he goes through “a lot of socks” although he hasn’t counted how many and along with fresh footwear, he also like to smell good as well as look good. “My cologne! Gotta have the cologne. You gotta have more than just one - sometimes you can mix and match and they pair well together. Today I have two Louises [Viuton] and one EX Nihilo”.

On to small devices, “One of my most needed essentials: my iPad. I go everywhere with this, obviously for shows and surfing the web and being entertained. I can get to every single game, every single film of practice, every clip of my entire career right here in this guy“.

Kelce adds that he cannot leave home without a pair of sunglasses - for use indoors or out. “These ones, Louis [Vuitton] just happened to be the ones in the bag - nothing too special, just something that can go with the fit. Sunshine blockers, some hater blockers - always gotta have some shades on you”.
