Travis Kelce could continue his NFL career next season, but it looks increasingly likely it won’t be with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to The Athletic.

The 36-year-old tight end is preparing for what would be his 14th season in the league, but there’s no guarantee it will be with the team that drafted him in the third round, 63rd overall, in 2013.

Kelce has spent his entire career with the Chiefs, helping them reach five Super Bowls, three of which they won.

Free agency on the horizon

Kelce’s representatives are expected to open talks with multiple teams before he makes a decision. After more than a decade in Kansas City, many assumed he might retire at the end of the season, but the veteran tight end now seems open to exploring new opportunities.

As of now, Kelce has no contract for 2026 and will become an unrestricted free agent, giving him the freedom to choose his next destination. How his next move unfolds could have a major impact on both his legacy and the Chiefs’ plans for the future.
