Tyreek Hill’s contract details: What is the Dolphins WR’s salary and how many years does he have left?
The Miami Dolphins receiver is ls being linked to several teams as a trade prospect. Here’s how things look as far as his contract in Miami.
Trade rumors around Tyreek Hill are picking up as the Miami Dolphins stumble to an 0-2 start marked by a blowout loss to the Colts and a players-only meeting in Week 1. Trade destinations for Hill are already being thrown around.
Technically though, Hill is signed through the 2026 season. Let’s take a closer look at that contract.
Tyreek Hill’s $90 million contract could make trade nightmares for Miami
Hill came to the Dolphins via trade from the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022 and was given a four-year, $120 million deal. Then, in August 2024, Hill and Miami restructured the contract, so though it wasn’t an extension - it didn’t add any years - he did see a big pay increase. He’s now under a three-year, $90 million deal running through the 2026 season.

Of that, about $65 million is guaranteed. This includes a $15.85 million option bonus for 2025, which the Dolphins have already exercised. For the 2025 season, Hill has a $10 million base salary and around $1.8 million in roster/per-game bonuses.
All of this money makes any potential trade a lot more complex. Because so much of Hill’s pay is already guaranteed and he has big bonuses, the team trading for him would need to absorb that cost or negotiate offsets.
Where things stand Now
Despite speculation, the Dolphins reportedly haven’t received formal trade inquiries for Hill as of this writing. Hill has also said he’s “happy” in Miami and tries to view the noise as “adversity.”

Performance concerns are part of the conversation: after his peak 2023 season (1,799 yards, 13 TDs), his 2024 stats dipped, and the Dolphins’ early 2025 results have been messy. That combo - declining production plus a big contract - tends to intensify speculation in the NFL.
