The NFL’s financial stability was in jeopardy during the height of the epidemic. But 2021 proved that this was only a prelude to the league’s fastest start to a prosperous year in a long time, with the market value of the NFL’s most valued franchises increasing proportionally. Fast forward two years later, the combined value of all 32 NFL teams is currently $142.87 billion.

As per tradition, we eagerly await the unveiling of the most valuable sports franchises in the United States and across the globe. This year, sources have already gathered up the top 10 list of the most valuable NFL teams for 2023, with a whopping 16 NFL squads breaking into the top 25 worldwide.

NFL’s top franchises by value

Dallas Cowboys: $9.2 billion

New York Giants - $7.04 billion

Los Angeles Rams - $6.94 billion

New England Patriots - $6.7 billion

San Francisco 49ers - $6.15 billion

New York Jets - $6.11 billion

Washington Commanders - $6.05 billion

Chicago Bears - $6 billion

Philadelphia Eagles - $5.95 billion

Las Vegas Raiders - $5.77 billion

The Dallas Cowboys are still king

Despite the 25-year Super Bowl drought, Jerry Jones has basically been printing money since he bought the franchise in 1989 for $140 million. According to sources, the Cowboys generated an income of approximately 504 million U.S. dollars for the 2022 season.

The Cowboys, perennial headline-grabbers and playoff contenders may have been elusive in their pursuit of the championship, but they have come up short. Quarterback Dak Prescott now boasts a fresh weapon in the form of Brandin Cooks and rising star CeeDee Lamb on the receiving end. Furthermore, the Cowboys’ defense proved formidable, conceding a mere 20.1 points per game last season, a statistic that earned them a fifth-place ranking in the NFL.
