What did Odell Beckham Jr. say about the Police footage of his American Airlines incident?

Following a rather strange turn of events aboard a plane back in November, it now seems we have further details on just what occurred between the prolific wide receiver and the staff of American Airlines.

According to reports, Miami-Dade County Police have released bodycam footage of a November 2022 incident which involved free agent NFL wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. At the time, the star was removed from an American Airlines flight after the flight crew became concerned for his personal safety. In the footage, Beckham can be seen becoming visibly annoyed, before actually behaving in an aggressive manner towards other passengers who appeared to be affected by his situation.

It is understood, that during the Los Angeles-bound flight, crew members noticed that Beckham appeared to be slipping in and out of consciousness, as they attempted to wake him in order to request that he fasten his seat belt. At that point, their concern for his health and safety resulted in the flight crew calling for officers to address the situation. For his part, Beckham claimed that he was simply tired from traveling and attending a club on the night before. Clearly angered by the scenario, Beckham not only refused to leave the plane but minimalized the seriousness of the situation. “I’ve never had this happen to me,” Beckham claimed, before he was told that he and all other passengers would have to disembark.

Sadly, the matter was made worse, when another passenger made a comment to Beckham, to which he responded: “You’re everything wrong with the world,” Beckham said. “Looking at me to get off a plane, for you. I would never, ever in my life get off the plane for you. Specifically you! Maybe everybody else, I would get off the plane.” Indeed, the Super Bowl winner then took things to another level by stating to another passenger that he would take a private plane home while they would have to wait 40 minutes. At that point, the passenger fired back only to have Beckham respond in an even more derogatory way. “Yeah, with your fat ass. Get your ass off the plane for a second,” he said. “Enjoy the cheese board on the way home with your ugly ass.”

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, Beckham took to social media following the release of the footage saying, “can’t address everything in this world, it’s exhausting. Errbody got an opinion on situations they weren’t involved in. All u can do is kno who u truly are. Purell only kills 99.9% of germs...there’s always gon be a lil left over” He later added, “I kno who I am. Period. All the rest and opinions really don’t matter to me.” Ultimately, Beckham continues to be an unsigned free agent after tours with the Cowboys, Bills and Giants all fell through due to concerns about his health. You will recall that officially, the three-time Pro Bowler is still recovering from an ACL tear which he suffered in the Super Bowl. As always, watch this space.
