What did Tom Brady say about the quality of play this season in the NFL?

With the Buccaneers joining the 2-2 teams in the NFL, Tom Brady isn’t fond of the football being played these days

The 2022 NFL season has started off rather bizarrely with 15 teams 2-2 going into Week 5.

One of these teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady at .500. The Bucs started off with victories against the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints, but dropped their last two games against both the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs.

When Brady was asked if the current standings indicate more consistency in the league, the quarterback responded with a different view.

“I think there’s a lot of bad football from what I watch,” he said Thursday. “Poor quality of football, that’s what I see.”

The seven-time Super Bowl champion is clearly expecting more from his own team and from the league, but he has also had a lot on his plate recently, with his divorce making daily headlines. On top of all that, he’s been dealing with shoulder discomfort, but did clarify Thursday night that he “feels great,” ahead of the Bucs-Falcons matchup, and will “be there Sunday.”

Brady will be looking to separate the Bucs from the 2–2 pack, by securing Tampa Bay’s first home victory of the season against the 2-2 Falcons Sunday.

Kickoff at Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
