What did Tom Brady say in his emotional retirement announcement? Did he mention Gisele?
Tom Brady announced on Wednesday that he was leaving the NFL, this time for good. He told fans on Instagram the his playing days were over.
After retiring last season for 40 days, Tom Brady decided to come back for another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He may regret that decision now after a sub-par season and a loss in the first round of the playoffs, not to mention a divorce from his top-model wife Gisele Bundchen.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion decided to call it quits on Feb. 1, 2023 and made his decision public on his Instagram account with this written message:

He went on to say that this time it was for good and he wanted to keep it brief after last year’s announcement:
It was a heart-felt goodbye that got number 12 choked up while thanking everyone after 23 seasons in the NFL. It looks like he’s serious this time and he is definitely hanging up his cleats for good. It will be interesting to see what’s next for the NFL legend as many suspect he’ll be in the commentating booth next season with Fox Sports.
Although he didn’t expressly mention his ex-wife in the announcement, he did put family first as he said goodbye to his fans. We’ll have to wait to see now what the future holds for Brady off the field.
