New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has definitely not had his best season so far this year. After missing the majority of last year with a torn Achilles, the Jets were excited to get Rodgers back under center to see if he could help turn the team around.

That didn’t go as planned. Entering Week 16, the Jets are 4-10 and were one of the first teams eliminated from the playoff race, extending their postseason drought to 14 seasons - the longest active drought in the league.

Still, that doesn’t erase the legendary career Rodgers has had since he joined the league in 2005. In his 20-year tenure with the Green Bay Packers and Jets, Rodgers has thrown for 62,310 yards and 498 touchdowns, was selected to 10 Pro Bowls, has won the NFL MVP award four times, and has one Super Bowl championship and Super Bowl MVP to his name. All of that and more has earned him a pretty penny. Let’s take a look at Rodgers' net worth and earnings.

Aaron Rodgers' net worth

Rodgers is not currently the highest-paid player in the NFL, but he has earned more from NFL contracts in his time in the league than any other player in history, raking in $380,658,010 from contracts alone. That’s more than NFL legends like Tom Brady ($332,962,392) and Peyton Manning ($248,732,000).

His net worth, however, is not quite as high as Brady’s or Manning’s. Rodgers' net worth is estimated to be around $200 million. Brady’s is around $300 million and Manning’s is around $250 million.

Rodgers' current contract with the Jets

The Jets signed Rodgers to a three-year, $112.5 million deal in 2023, which includes $75 million guaranteed and a $35 million signing bonus plus $35 million option bonus in 2024.

Technically, the contract is a five-year deal, but with two void years. When the option bonus is exercised, a third void year will be added, allowing the Jets to spread out the prorated money through all five years at $7 million per year for each one. Rodgers can then try to get a new deal for 2025.

Rodgers’ salary cap breakdown:

  • 2024: $17.161 million
  • 2025: $51.5 million
  • 2026: $35 million

Rodgers' investments and endorsements

On the field, Rodgers is estimated to earn $38.2 million and off the field, $9 million.

In addition to his NFL earnings, Rodgers also earns money from partnerships with State Farm, Adidas, Pizza Hut, TaylorMade Golf, Prevea Healthcare, Bergstorm Automotive, Sharpie, and IZOD. At one point, Rodgers was reportedly earning $11 million annually just from endorsement deals. His deal with State Farm lasted 12 years and was one of the highest-paid endorsement deals, earning Rodgers around $3 million annually. That deal ended in 2023.

Rodgers also has money from investments. In 2018, he purchased a minority ownership stake in the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, becoming the first active NFL player to own a stake in an NBA team. The following year, he launched his own venture capital firm called RX3, with a $50 million fund and investments in several other businesses.

Rodgers also earned money by selling a mansion he bought in Del Mar, California. He bought it for $2 million in 2009 and sold it for $5.1 million in 2021.
