What is going on with Randy Moss? Son refutes liver cancer claims and asks for privacy
Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss' son called out Larry Fitzgerald Sr. for posting that his father has liver cancer to social media.

Last week, ESPN reported that former Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss would be temporarily stepping away from his role as an analyst on “Sunday NFL Countdown” due to some personal health concerns.
Moss posted a video to his Instagram just before the news, in which he revealed that he was dealing with a health condition, but did not say exactly what. He called on men in particular to get regular health checks and bloodwork and requested prayers while he deals with this health challenge.
Larry Fitzgerald Sr. posts claims of liver cancer to social media
Larry Fitzgerald Sr., the father of former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald Jr., posted to social media saying that he’d learned that Moss was battling liver cancer.
“66th NFF Hall of Fame Ceremony here in Las Vegas just heard that Vikings HOF Randy Moss has liver cancer,” Fitzgerald wrote. “Let’s show the power of prayer and pull Moss through this. I love you Randy.”

Moss' son, former NFL tight end Thaddeus Moss, however, refuted that claim and called out Fitzgerald for making private matters public for “the sake of engagement”.

“This is disgusting,” he wrote. “You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you, so check your fucking sources.”
Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre posted to X after seeing Fitzgerald’s post, complimenting Moss' play and adding “prayers to him and his family” and Thaddeus commented on the post saying it’s “not true.”
Brett , the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready to

Thaddeus said that his father will “address the world when he is ready to”.
While it is clear that Moss has the support and love of many, this situation has brought to light the importance of respecting personal matters and privacy. Whatever Moss is dealing with is his own to reveal when and if he chooses to do so and the speculation has only worked to add more concern.
