One day after the NFL teams have gone into summer training camp, we look ahead a week to the official start of the preseason exhibition games. It all gets underway with the Hall of Fame game in the Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio. 2022 sees the Jacksonville Jaguars the nominal visiting team facing the Las Vegas Raiders.

The game is traditionally held as part of the celebrations marking the annual induction ceremonies of Enshrinement Week and this will mark the fourth appearance for the Raiders, while the Jags are here for the second time.

This year, the NFL Hall of Fame will induct five modern-era players, one senior inductee, one coach and one contributor.

The players inducted will be (OT) Tony Boselli, (S) LeRoy Butler, (LB) Sam Mills, (DL) Richard Seymour, and (DT) Bryant Young.

Wide receiver Cliff Branch will also be inducted as will coach Dick Vermeil and official Art McNally. The Hall of Fame game will be played on Thursday, Aug.4, at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on NBC.
