The Dallas Cowboys finally got the deal done with CeeDee Lamb. Their star wide receiver has held out of practice all offseason, including OTAs and minicamp all the way through training camp and the preseason.

As owner Jerry Jones said there was “no urgency” to get the deal done, the four-year, $136 million contract extension given to Lamb took months to finally come to fruition. Now that it has, it’s time for Lamb to finally join up with his teammates again after training hard on his own all summer long.

When will CeeDee Lamb return to practice with the Cowboys?

Now that the Cowboys and Lamb have agreed on a deal, what’s left is to finalize the deal and then complete the physical exams so that CeeDee can get back to practice as soon as possible. The contract is expected to be officially signed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 27, just in time for “Cowboys Night” at the Star in Frisco.

After spending 31 days in Oxnard, California for training camp, the Cowboys headed back to Texas last week to finish up training camp back home and host their final preseason game, which they lost to the Chargers on Saturday. They will hold two open practices at Ford Center at The Star on Tuesday, August 27 and Wednesday, August 28.

Jerry Jones will attend an NFL owners meeting on Tuesday and on Wednesday, he’s expected to meet with the media, who will surely have a lot to ask and say about the CeeDee deal. Lamb could potentially return to practice as early as tomorrow (Tuesday), giving him just under two weeks to prepare for the Cowboys’ regular-season opener on Sunday, September 8 when they face a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns on the road.
