The XFL will be hosted in eight cities in this 2023 season. The league, managed by Dwayne’ The Rock’ Johnson, announced the cities and stadiums where the league will be played.

The XFL will be back this February 18th when the Vegas Vipers and Arlington Renegades face each other at 3 p.m. ET at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Which stadiums will host the XFL?

San Antonio, Arlington, and Houston will each host one of the three Texas teams. Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will be in charge of game operations in San Antonio’s at the Alamodome. Bob Stoops will lead the Arlington club where they will play at Choctaw Stadium, while Wade Phillips will steer the Houston squad that will play at TDECU Stadium.

Washington D.C. will host one of the eight franchises in the XFL. Its team will play at Audi Field, where Reggie Barlow will serve as head coach. Barlow has experience leading college football teams, having overseen Alabama State from 2007 to 2014 and Virginia State from 2016 to 2021.

Cashman Field will be homes of the Vegas Vipers. Legendary former NFL safety Rod Woodson will take charge as head coach.

Anthony Becht, who spent a year as a player for the St Louis Rams in the NFL, will be the head coach of the BattleHawks games will be played at the Dome at America’s Center.

Terrell Buckley, a Super Bowl XXXVI winner with the New England Patriots, will head up an Orlando team, with home games held at Camping World Stadium.

The Seattle Sea Dragons, the Seattle XFL franchise will be led by the experienced coach Jim Haslett. The team will share Lumen Field with NFL franchise the Seattle Seahawks.

The NFL and the FXL will not be sharing players

The XFL clarified that the partnership will not cover sharing players for developmental purposes, according to ESPN. But the new partnership remains significant as it comes in the face of the growth of alternative football leagues. The United States Football League had earlier announced that it will hold its inaugural game in April.

NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent says he hopes the relationship they have forged will result in “improvements in the game of football at all levels”.

The agreement is not exclusive and will allow both leagues to collaborate with others if there are opportunities to do so in the future.
