After three weeks of the NFL season, we now know a bit more about which teams might actually be postseason and Super Bowl contenders. It’s still early of course, but of the teams which are still undefeated, there are a few surprises.

Undefeated NFL teams after Week 3

  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • Seattle Seahawks

Teams who had their undefeated streak ruined in Week 2: Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Chargers

The Chiefs are not a big surprise. After back-to-back Super Bowl victories, a 3-0 start isn’t shocking. But of the five teams which are 3-0, there are two which did not even make it to the postseason last year - the Vikings and Seahawks, so their results are a little more unexpected.

Teams who got their first win in Week 3: Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Carolina Panthers

Winless NFL teams after Week 3

Other teams finally saw a win and avoided the 0-3 hole in Week 3. The Ravens were one of the teams at 0-2 last week that no one expected to be winless to start the season, so the fact that they won their game over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3 wasn’t surprising. In fact, it was more surprising how badly the Cowboys played at home than anything else. With the Colts, Rams, Broncos, Giants, and Panthers finally getting their first wins of the season as well, there are just three teams who remain winless heading into Week 4.

  • Cincinnati Bengals
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Tennessee Titans
