SUPER BOWL LVIII
Who is Amy Trask? Career, family, net worth...
The former CEO of the Raiders shared her thoughts on the 49ers QB Brock Purdy and had to apologize for them.
Amy Trask is widely known as the first-ever female CEO of an NFL team. She was in charge of the Oakland Raiders from 1997 to 2013. To this day, Task is the only woman to hold the title of CEO of a football team. Her career with the team began when she started to intern for the team while being a student at the University of Berkeley.
At the moment, Trask is an analyst for CBS and co-host of the “What the Football Podcast”. She is also a chairman on the board of the Big3, a 3-on-3 basketball league. In addition, she also wrote the book “You Negotiate Like a Girl,” where she talks about her experience in the NFL. Her net worth extends to $18 million. She is married to Robert C. Trask, a former college football player and lawyer.
What did Amy Trask say about Brock Purdy, and why did she apologize?
Before the playoffs started, the former Oakland Raiders’ CEO stated that the postseason had seven great quarterbacks and Brock Purdy on her podcast. She faced a lot of backlash for her comments and had to apologize.
“It’s not that I don’t like him. It’s not that I dislike him. He does things very well. He is surrounded by a tremendous, tremendous supporting cast, both on offense and defense. He is a good quarterback. I don’t put him in the category of the other seven.” She added on the 49ers QB. It seems the joke is on her, as Mr. Irrelevant is now in the Super Bowl game and is just hours away from his first NFL ring.
