The most important NFL game of the season is just days away from taking place and everyone is looking forward to Sunday to see which team will lift the Vince Lombardi trophy.

The 49ers are back again in a Super Bowl match and will try to avenge their loss to the Chiefs in 2019 when they take on Andy Reid’s side this time around.

San Francisco, considered one of the biggest candidates for the trophy before the start of the season, hasn’t let fans down and will try to defeat the most dominant team in the last five years to lift their sixth trophy.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs, led once again by Patrick Mahomes, will be looking to make history once again, in a campaign where his teammate Travis Kielce has been in the spotlight for his relationship with music star Taylor Swift.

But besides the thrill of the game itself, what also makes the Super Bowl so special are the commercials, the halftime music artists, and the traditional national anthem performance.

Who is signing the national anthem at Super Bowl XVIII?

Without a doubt, one of the most special moments of the Super Bowl will be the national anthem. This year, country icon Reba McEntire will be in charge of performing it ahead of the big game.

McEntire is known for her extensive career in the world of music, television, movies, and theatre. The Fancy and The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia singer, is considered one of country music’s most influential female performers.

She has won over 50 awards throughout her career, including Grammys, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, People’s Choice Awards, and American Music Awards.

McEntire, who started making her name on Broadway in the early 2000s, is also known for her television show, Reba, being nominated for a Golden Globe as best actress. She’s also a coach in the TV show The Voice, which will air a new season at the end of February. She will be accompanied by CODA actor Daniel Durant, who will perform the national anthem in American Sign Language.
