The NFL has arrived in Spain. Fans from all over the country, Europe and even the U.S. have descended on Madrid for the historic game in the Bernabeu stadium.

Spanish NFL fans are very well informed about football strategy, players, teams and even history of the sport. It’s been a long time coming and now fans from Spain will get to see the Commanders vs the Dolphins live at the stadium where the Real Madrid soccer team plays.
These past few days in Madrid have given fans an opportunity to see some of the entertainment that surrounds the game itself, such as mascots, cheerleaders and even the NFL fan zone. The atmosphere will be electric at the Bernabeu stadium and no matter which team wins or loses, the fans are guaranteed to have a great time.
Although it’s not quite the Super Bowl, Dolphins and Commanders’ supporters will get to see a halftime show with Bizarrap and Daddy Yankee. But, before kick-off there will be a special moment that most sports fans in Spain don’t always get a chance to witness: The playing of the Spanish national anthem and the singing of the U.S. national anthem.

As the Spanish national anthem doesn’t have any lyrics, the music will be played by the Madrid Marine Infantry Group Band. The U.S. national anthem will be sung by Karina Pasian.
Who is Karina Pasian?
The 34-year-old singer was born in New York City. She grew up in a musical family and attended teh Professional Performing Arts School in New York City. After meeting Quincy Jones, Pasian performed on Star Search and then on June 22, 2007, she performed at the White House for President George W. Bush.
Pasian released her first album ‘First Love’ in 2008 and received a Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Contemporary R&B.
As her musical career progressed, Parisian took part in 2021 in La Voz, the Spanish talent show version of ‘The Voice.’ She met Alejandro Sanz on the show and sang with his band on several tours. Pasian is currently based in Madrid, Spain.
