The NFL Fantasy season is wrapping up already. With just a few games left until the postseason and a half a dozen teams on bye week this week, we’re here to help you sort your fantasy lineup as you make your last efforts to clutch the playoffs.

First, let’s take a look at which teams are on a bye week in Week 14 plus some key injuries you’ll want to be aware of.

Teams on bye in Week 14:

  • Denver Broncos
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • New England Patriots
  • Washington Commanders
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Houston Texans

It’s a rough week with six teams on a bye in Week 14. This means no Jayden Daniels, Lamar Jackson, Nico Collins, Joe Mixon, Bo Nix, or Derrick Henry.

Key injuries in Week 14:

  • Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (concussion) - Questionable (but unlikely to play)
  • 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (knee) - OUT (with Niners planning to put him on IR)

  • Bucs RB Bucky Irving (hip) - Questionable

  • Commanders RB Austin Ekeler (concussion) - IR

  • 49ers RB Jordan Mason (ankle) - OUT (Niners will place him on IR as well)

  • Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (knee) - Questionable
  • Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown (shoulder) - IR (could return by Week 16)
  • Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (knee) - Questionable (Ravens on bye Week 14)

  • Packers WR Romeo Doubs (concussion) - Questionable

  • Commanders WR Noah Brown (rib) - Questionable (Commanders on bye Week 14)

  • Rams WR Demarcus Robinson (hand) - Questionable

  • Steelers WR Calvin Austin (concussion) - Questionable

  • Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (knee) - Questionable

  • Saints TE Taysom Hill (knee) - OUT for the season

  • TE Tyler Higbee (knee) - PUP (could return Week 14)

  • Giants TE Theo Johnson (foot) - IR (season-ending)

With all that in mind, here are the players we think you should start in Week 14.

NFL Fantasy Football Week 14: recommended starters

Quarterbacks

Sam Darnold, Vikings (vs Falcons): Darnold has been consistent throughout the whole season, putting up at least 17 fantasy points almost every week (with the exception of three games) this season and has put up 20 or more in six games. He’s thrown two touchdowns in each of his last three games against a few tough defenses. He has a favorable matchup against the Falcons, who despite shutting down Justin Herbert last week, allow the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers (vs Raiders): Mayfield and the Bucs will be looking to bounce back against the Raiders this week after their narrow win over the lowly Panthers. He’ll have the benefit of playing against a Raiders defense that has struggled against the pass. Over the last four weeks, they’ve allowed 10 touchdown passes tied with the Patriots for the most, thus allowing the third-most fantasy points over that period - nearly 24 per game to quarterbacks.

Running Backs

Tyrone Tracy Jr., Giants (vs Saints): Despite Devin Singletary getting more of a workload in the Giants’ Week 13 game against the Cowboys, Tracy is still the one who ended up in the end zone. Plus he still played 73% of the snaps. And though the Giants looked as terrible as ever last week, Tracy will get his shot against a Saints defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season.

D’Andre Swift, Bears (@ 49ers): Swift has proven to be decent when given the proper environment, and a banged-up 49ers defense will provide just that. Without Nick Bosa, the Niners have given up the fifth-most non-PPR points to running backs.

Wide Receivers

Jakobi Meyers, Raiders (@ Buccaneers): Since Davante Adams left the Raiders, Meyers has established himself as the WR1 in Las Vegas. In four of his last five games, he’s scored at least 15.7 fantasy points. This week, he will have an even better chance to show himself as the Raiders face a Buccaneers defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Titans (vs Jaguars): Calvin Ridley is still the WR1 and you shouldn’t expect Westbrook-Ikhine to see quite as many targets, but he’s caught at least one touchdown in seven of the Titans’ last eight games. Plus being up against the Jaguars’ weak defense provides a ton of upside for him.

Tight Ends

Luke Schoonmaker OR Jake Ferguson, Cowboys (vs. Bengals): This depends on whether or not Ferguson will play on Monday as he’s been out with a concussion. Since he’s been out, Schoonmaker has been filling in as the starter. If Ferguson is back in, start him. If he’s still out, start Schoonmaker. Either one against the Bengals is a good idea. Just last week, they allowed seven catches, 68 yards, and a touchdown to Pat Freiermuth and have given up eight touchdowns to tight ends over the last eight weeks and allow the second-most fantasy points per game to the position.

Cade Otton, Buccaneers (vs Raiders): For the same reason you should start Mayfield, you should also start Otton. The Raiders are stopping the run lately, so the Bucs will need to be reliant on the pass game. And that will likely be Otton on the receiving end, as the Raiders have given up third-most non-PPR points per game to tight ends.
