It’s been a tough time recently for the Bengals signal caller and it now seems that he’s taken steps to avoid any excessive negativity with the removal of social media apps.

Bengals’ Joe Burrow has deleted Twitter and Instagram

Though it may be stating the obvious, it’s pretty safe to say that the Bengals have not got off to their best start in the 2022-23 NFL regular season. Following their sensational march to the Super Bowl earlier this year, it’s been quite something to watch them slump to an 0-2 record in these initial weeks of the new campaign. Without being cruel, one of the reasons why Cincinnati has found it to be tough going, is because of the struggles of their quarterback, Joe Burrow.

What’s interesting, however, is that Burrow himself has taken the step of focusing on positivity which has included the removal of both Twitter and Instagram from his phone. Indeed, following back-to-back losses against the Steelers and Cowboys, Burrow came in for heavy criticism on both platforms and it now appears that’s not something he’s willing take. “What’s great is I don’t have Twitter or Instagram right now, so I’ve seen none of it,” Burrow said. “We’re focused on what’s going on in here. I’m sure it’s not a very good reaction, but I think it’ll be a different reaction as we get going here.” Incidentally, Burrow indicated that the move was not a recent one and that both applications had in fact been off of his phone for “a while.”

How has Joe Burrow faired so far?

Between the two aforementioned losses, the Bengals star has quite frankly not been at his best. With 64% of his passes completed for a total of 537 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions. Things could definitely be better. Of even greater concern, is the number of sacks that he has received which is 13. The statistic speaks to more than just Burrow’s lack of form of course and will likely be the focal point for the team’s coaching staff in coming days, as they most definitely spent heavily on their offensive line during the offseason. At any rate, Burrow and the Bengals will be back in action against the New York Jets this coming Sunday. Can they get back on track? Stay with us to find out!
