Why did Davante Adams shove a cameraman?

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams was clearly upset after their 30-29 loss to the Chiefs, as he shoved a cameraman to the ground walking off the field.

The Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football last night and Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams didn’t take it so well.

Adams played a good game for the Raiders, finishing with three receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns. It wasn’t enough though and the final two plays of the game were frustrating ones for the Raiders and especially for Adams. On the first of the final two plays, Adams caught the ball on the sideline but only got one foot in bounds, ruling it an incomplete pass and bringing the Raiders to 4th and 1. The Raiders decided to go for it as quarterback Derek Carr sent the ball flying deep towards Adams again, but he collided with fellow receiver Hunter Renfrow to give the ball back to the Chiefs on a turnover. They took a knee, bringing the game to a close and the Raiders lost by one point, 30-29.

Clearly upset after the game, Adams was coming off the field when a cameraman walked in front of him and Adams just shoved him to the ground. News on how that man is doing has not been released. He was carrying equipment when it happened and Adams continued to walk to the locker room without even looking back to check on the man.

Adams apologized to the man before taking any questions from the media after the game. He also wrote out an apology on Twitter.

“Before I answer anything else, I want to apologize to the guy. I see some guy running off the field, he ran and jumped in front of me coming off the field and I bumped into him and kind of pushed him. I think he ended up on the ground, so I want to say sorry to him for that, because that was just frustration mixed with him running and, literally just running in front of me and I shouldn’t have responded that way, but that’s how I initially responded. So I want to apologize to him for that.”

It has yet to be determined if the league will enforce any kind of punishment on Adams or if the man will press any charges.
