Why is there no Thursday Night Football game on week 18?
The final round of the 2024 regular season sees two games slated for Saturday with the rest of the action taking place on Sunday.

In both the AFC and NFC, the bulk of the post season spots have been secured with both Kansas City Chiefs (aiming for a historic three-peat) and the Detroit Lions the form teams with both franchises set to bypass the Wild Card round.
In the AFC, it’s a three way battle between the Broncos, Dolphins and Bengals to bag the final postseason spot with the NFC a two-way tussle between Tampa Bay and Atlanta.
No Thursday night NFL action
Given the stakes at hand, for the final round of regular season games, there is no Thursday Night Football this week with last week’s game between Chicago and Seattle concluding Amazon Prime’s offering of “Thursday Night Football” for the current season.
Two matchups have been slated for Saturday as Baltimore face Chicago and later the same evening the Steelers will host the Bengals.
