Why isn’t Byron Murphy II playing for the Seahawks against the Giants? NFL Week 5 injury status
Good news and bad for the Seahawks with five defenders set to return from injury but defensive player Murphy II is still set to be absent for Sunday’s game.
Seattle Seahawks’ 100% winning start to the new season came to an abrupt end last weekend with a matchday 4 at the hands of Detroit Tigers (42-29) and Mike McDonald’s team will be looking to bounce back as they face New York Giants at Lumen Field on Sunday night.
There is some good news and a little bad for Seahawks fans with the five key defensive players who had to miss the entire game against Detroit back in action for the home game against the Giants (1-3).
The Seahawks only have totally ruled two players out for Sunday from their entre 53 player roster which include rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II with the 22-year-old unable to practice for the second consecutive week due to a hamstring injury that forced him to leave the field as part of the week three win over the Miami Dolphins.
Seattle have listed two other players as questionable: with safety Julian Love (thigh) and outside linebacker Boye Mafe (knee) being doubts as kickoff to the clash at Lumen Field in Seattle gets closer.
