Why isn’t Cooper Kupp playing for the Rams against the Packers? NFL Week 5 injury status
Cooper Kupp will once more be absent for the Los Angeles Rams today, as Sean McVay’s men take on the Green Bay Packers.
Injured wide receiver Cooper Kupp will again be unavailable to the Los Angeles Rams this weekend, as the Californians go up against the Green Bay Packers in Week 5 of the NFL regular season.
Having again been unable to take part in Rams practice this week, Kupp is listed as out on the team’s official injury report. Per TheRams.com’s Stu Jackson, head coach Sean McVay had already confirmed on Monday that the 31-year-old wouldn’t be involved against the Packers.
What injury does Kupp have?
Kupp hasn’t played since damaging his ankle in the Rams’ Week 2 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals on September 15.
According to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Super Bowl LVI MVP is currently on course to make his Rams comeback on October 20, when Los Angeles take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7.
Who else is on the Rams’ Week 5 injury report?
Alongside Kupp, defensive end Larrell Murchison (forearm) is also listed as out on the Rams’ injury report. However, cornerback Darious Williams is in line to return against the Packers, after recovering from a hamstring issue that has sidelined him for the whole of the season so far.
