Why isn’t Keenan Allen playing for the Chargers against the Bills?
As the Los Angeles Chargers host the Buffalo Bills, they will do so without the help of the NFL receptions leader Keenan Allen.
For the second straight game, the Los Angeles Chargers will go to battle without the help of NFL receptions leader Keenan Allen.
Allen hasn’t practiced at all since suffering a heel injury in a December 10th loss to the Denver Broncos. The Los Angeles Chargers have now declared Allen out for their Saturday night home game against the Buffalo Bills.
Allen has set a Chargers single-season record for receptions at 108, a total which sees him leading the league this season. His 1243 total yards have him in fourth place in the NFL.
Now for the second consecutive week, Allen will be replaced by Joshua Palmer, Quentin Johnston, and Jalen Guyton, who become the primary targets for Easton Stick, making his own second straight start at QB after Justin Herbert had to have surgery on a broken finger.
With linebacker Joey Bosa also out for Saturday night, his fifth straight missed game, the Chargers are in need of something of a miracle as they try to salvage something in the back end of a difficult season.
