Will Amari Cooper play for the Bills against the Titans in week 7?
The Pro Bowl wide receiver only arrived in Buffalo on Tuesday and showed positive signs at practice which suggests he could make his debut at Highmark Stadium on Sunday.
The Bills finally found a replacement for wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who joined the Texans back in April. At the start of the week, Amari Cooper arrived from the Cleveland Browns. The 30-year-old was traded in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick with the Bills also receiving a a 2025 sixth-rounder.
Cooper was briefly listed on the Browns injury report ahead of last week’s game against the Eagles but he participated in all six of the team’s games before his move to Buffalo. This season he has caught 24 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns as the Browns’ top receiver for Deshaun Watson.

He has been involved in practice with Sean McDermott’s team this week and showed positive signs which indicate that he could be handed his debut for the Bills on Sunday. The coach spoke about his new WR to the media on Wednesday: “Happy to have him here, pleasant to be around. It’s been, as you’d expect, process-driven with him getting here last night and then getting in to some meetings with the coaches and again this morning.
“So, I’m sure, to some extent, a little bit of a whirlwind for him. Albeit, he came from about two and a half-three hours away which worked out well for us. More than anything, just trying to get his feet firmly planted in the ground and adjusting to the terminology that we use”.
The Bills have running back Darrynton Evans who is listed as doubtful with a hamstring issue. Two players are questionable: Ray Davis (calf) and Mike Edwards (illness) - both will be assessed on Saturday and on the day of the game, although Davis had limited participation in Friday’s practice.
