Will Dallas Goedert play for the Eagles against the Panthers? NFL injury update
Philadelphia made it eight successive wins against the Baltimore Ravens but lost tight end Goedert to injury in the fourth quarter.
The Philadelphia Eagles go into Sunday’s week 14 game against the Carolina Panthers on the back of a superb run of eight straight victories, the latest of which saw them defeat the Baltimore Ravers last weekend. However, the win came at a cost, with Dallas Goedert suffering a knee injury in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles tight end went to ground clutching his left knee after blocking Ravens linebacker Tavius Robinson, which caused him to miss the final nine minutes.

As a result of the issue, Goedert didn’t participate in practice either on Wednesday or Thursday, while comments made to Philadelphia Inquirer reported Jeff McLain also suggest the 29-year-old won’t be fit to face the Panthers.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni hasn’t publicly ruled Goedert out of Sunday’s game, but McLain was told by an NFL source the injury would sideline the tight end “on a week-to-week basis” and that he “could be a candidate for short-term IR”. None of that suggests Goedert will be available against the Panthers.
The good news for Sirianni is that wide receiver DeVonta Smith did fully participate in practice on Thursday and is set to make his return after missing the last two games against the Los Angeles Rams and the Ravens.
When is Panthers - Eagles in week 14?
A ninth successive victory for the Eagles could be enough for them to clinch a playoff spot in week 14, although it is surely only a matter of time in any case. The game between Philadelphia and the Ravens will be played on Sunday, December 8 at Lincoln Financial Field, with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. ET.
