Will DeVonta Smith play for the Eagles against the Ravens in Week 13? Latest injury report
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith’s hamstring issues continue to nag as they get ready to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.
The Philadelphia Eagles have a tough matchup today when they face the Baltimore Ravens. Philly has won seven straight games, and they’ve done so by heavily relying on Saquon Barkley and the run game.
The Ravens happen to be allowing the fewest yards per carry in the NFL but are allowing the second-most passing yards per game (277.7). So this game might be one where they’d like to rely on their receivers a bit more. Unfortunately, one of their star weapons at wide receiver, DeVonta Smith, is unlikely to play.
DeVonta Smith unlikely to face Ravens
The Eagles have been able to pull off wins despite injuries to key players and they’ll hope to do the same this week. During their win over the Los Angeles Rams last week, the Eagles played without DeVonta Smith.
Smith suffered a hamstring injury back in Week 9, but played through it for two games as Philly beat their NFC East rivals Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders. In Week 12, however, when the Eagles beat the Rams, Smith was forced to sit out.
Now, as the Eagles prepare to face the Ravens, Smith is listed as questionable, but it’s not looking positive that he’ll play today.
Smith is the Eagles’ leader in receptions with 41 and second in receiving yards with 516. He didn’t practice on Wednesday, but returned on Thursday as a limited participant and on Friday as well.
Smith told reporters on Friday that the decision wasn’t his to make about whether or not he’d play on Sunday. If he doesn‘t, he will hopefully be able to return by the Eagles’ December 8 game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14.
