Head coach Dan Quinn provided a major update on Jaden Daniels after practice on Friday. He confirmed that Daniels took part in practice.

This announcement comes after initial reports suggested that Daniels was not present during the open portion of the practice session viewed by the media.

Daniels still doubtful

Quinn clarified that Daniels practiced indoors, although the details regarding the intensity and extent of his participation remain uncertain. Commanders fans and NFL analysts await a comprehensive injury report, which is expected later today for further clarity.

Daniels sustained a rib injury on his first play from scrimmage last week against the Carolina Panthers. His 46-yard run ended with a tackle, during which the injury occurred.

Following practice on Friday, Daniels spoke to reporters about his recovery from a rib injury. He expressed optimism, stating that he feels good while acknowledging the complexities surrounding his return to play.

He emphasized that he wants to play, but it is not his decision, indicating that the final call on his availability for Sunday’s game will rest with the team’s medical staff. As the game approaches, the hours before will be critical in determining whether Daniels will get medical clearance to participate in the matchup.
