You’ll never guess Josh Allen’s strange - and gross - pregame ritual

Some NFL players have superstitions, wearing the same socks or underwear every game. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has a different pregame ritual.

Update:

While most NFL players have their pregame rituals they like to stick to, some are stranger than others. Former defensive tackle John Henderson, for example, used to ask his trainer to slap him in the face ahead of every game.

But Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s pregame ritual takes the cake...although, I don’t really want to think about food anymore.

Josh Allen throws up before every single NFL game

In January, when the Bills were preparing to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Conference Championship, Allen was asked what were three things he has to do every gameday. His *very nonchalant* answer was this:

“Throw up, listen to my playlist, and...drink water.”

The “throw up” response came to Allen immediately while “drink water” took him a moment to think about.

The woman asking him, Elliot Georgiadis, was clearly taken aback by his response - naturally. She asked him to clarify that he throws up every game day and he confirmed.

“Right after pregame - I come into the locker room, go do my deal, listen to my music, drink some water...and some mouth wash.”

Oh, well...that clears it up.

The routine, while unusual, sparked amused reactions from fans online, with some jokingly relating to his anxiety-fueled habit. Although the Bills lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship that day, Allen’s candid moment won over the internet. Because who are we to question the habits of someone with his talent?
