“You’re not my favorite player”: Tyreek Hill’s kid keeps it brutally honest

If anyone is going to humble one of the top NFL receivers, it’s going to be a child. Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill’s son did so in the cutest way.

Are the Dolphins planning to cut Tyreek Hill?

Update:

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is one of the top receivers in the league. In fact, ESPN has him ranked at number three on their 2025 top 10 list despite the fact that he had his worst career season last year.

But Hill’s own son has a favorite NFL receiver, and it’s not his dad.

Hill humbled by his own son

During a recent interview, Hill shared a funny moment with his son. A kid came up to him and said, “hey, you’re Tyreek Hill’s son!” only for his son to deny him and pronounce instead: “Nah, Justin Jefferson, my dad.”

Hill joked in response, “Tell Justin Jefferson to take your a** to Disney World.”

Hill laughed about how big of fans all his kids are of the Minnesota Vikings receiver, who does happen to be ranked just above Hill on that ESPN top 10 list.

It wouldn’t be the first time his kids have trolled him either. Last year, his son made sure to remind him that he’s not as fast as Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

“You know, each and every game my son he calls me and he will always tell me that Lamar Jackson is faster than me,” said Hill. “I don’t know why, but I think I’m starting to be his role model, because he’s a hater.”

After his shaky 2024 season, Hill is using his kids’ words as motivation to get better. He said he knows it’s all “in the spirit of playing jokes”, but it still makes him want to be a better player.

“My sons be on my head,” Hill said. “Small reminders like that from my kids always keep me wanting to achieve more and continue to get better...that’s what keeps me humble.”
