Zay Flowers injury update: Baltimore Ravens update injury status for wide receiver
The Pro Bowl WR went down with a right knee injury in the first quarter against the Cleveland Browns.
Fans of the Baltimore Ravens will be sweating over an injury to wide receiver Zay Flowers after he hobbled from the field on Saturday. Flowers has been ruled out for the game after suffering a right knee injury.
The 24-year-old went down under minimal pressure in the first quarter and was immediately taken from the field, requiring some assistance to get to his feet. He appeared to be suffering from a right knee injury when he left the field.
Soon after exiting the field Flowers was officially listed as ‘questionable’ by the Baltimore Ravens. He was initially taken to the medical tent for assessment, before heading to the locker room for further treatment. At the halftime break he was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game.
The Florida native has a breakthrough season for the Ravens last year after being taken as the No. 22 overall prick at the 2023 NFL Draft. He has started 14 games this season, racking up more than 1,000 receiving yards for Baltimore. With the postseason looming a prolonged absence could be a major blow to the Ravens’ hopes.
Flowers recently made headlines as the first Ravens wide receiver to be named to the Pro Bowl at the position. There have been three previous WRs - Jermaine Lewis, Jacoby Jones and Devin Duvernay - but they were fielded as returners.
