Dodger Stadium is Olympic
The home to MLB champions, is one of the may confirmed venues for the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Dodger Stadium will be one of the venues for the 2028 Olympic Games, confirmed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, as the program continues to take shape for the major event. The home of the current Major League Baseball champions (LA Dodgers) will host the baseball games.
The venues for the games also includes the addition of Alamitos Beach, which will be the venue for Beach Volleyball competitions.
“This plan brings the Games to every corner of our city like never before: From the Sepulveda Basin to the iconic shores of Venice Beach, our world-famous neighborhoods and hidden gems will be on full display for everyone to experience and enjoy,” Bass said in a statement.
“We promised the world incredible Olympic Games, and today we are proud to share the plan that will make them a reality,” said Reynold Hoover, executive director of LA28, in a statement.
Los Angeles, the epicenter of sports
There is no doubt that the city of Los Angeles is the epicenter of sports with teams like the Rams and Chargers in the NFL, the Lakers in the NBA, Los Angeles FC and LA Galaxy in soccer, the Dodgers in MLB along with newcomers NWSL’s Angel City FC.
“Los Angeles is the epicenter of sports, culture and entertainment, and every venue selected for the 2028 Games will provide athletes and fans with the best possible experience,” Hoover added.
