Olympic basketball qualifying tournament schedule: Games, dates, groups and results for Paris 2024

The road to the Paris 2024 Olympics for men’s and women’s basketball is marked by intense competition in the Olympic Basketball Qualifying Tournaments (OQT). These tournaments are the final stepping stones for teams aiming to secure a spot in the highly anticipated Olympic basketball events.

Tournament Format

The Olympic Basketball Qualifying Tournaments are designed to determine the final slots for the Olympic Games. Both the men’s and women’s tournaments follow a similar format:

Teams: Each tournament features 24 teams divided into four groups of six teams.

Group Stage: Teams play in a round-robin format within their groups.

Knockout Stage: The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage, culminating in semifinals and finals.

Qualification: Only the winners of each tournament secure a place in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
