Simone Biles continued her incredible Olympics record with another gold medal on Thursday and used this latest triumph to take aim at former President Donald Trump.

The 27-year-old Team USA gymnast picked up her sixth Olympic gold medal with a string of stunning performances in the All-around competition. On Friday morning she shared a photo of herself with the medal, along with the caption “I love my black job”.

She was referencing bizarre comments made by Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) annual convention earlier this week. Trump had told those in attendance: “I will tell you that coming from the border, are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking Black jobs.”

He was then asked to explain what he meant by the term ‘Black job’, responding: “A Black job is anybody that has a job. That’s what it is.”

What has Simone Biles said about Trump in the past?

This is not the first time that Biles has passed comment on Trump, notably doing so after his supporters rioted on Capitol Hill in January 2021. Trump had called on his supporters to “fight” against the result of the 2020 presidential election after he was defeated by President Joe Biden.

While the violence unfolded at the Capitol, Biles tweeted: “Embarrassed but not surprised, disgusted but not surprised, sad but not surprised, angry but not surprised, speechless but not surprised.”

Trump had rallied his supporters in Washington DC just hours before the violence that left five people dead and has subsequently offered vocal support for those convicted in relation to the violence.
