It has been announced that American rapper Snoop Dogg will join the commentary team of American television NBCUniversal for the official broadcast of the Olympic Games in Paris. Snoop’s primary role will be to provide reviews of sports that are not as well-known to the broader American audience.

During the Games, Snoop will be reporting live from Paris, providing regular updates for the primetime Olympic show on NBC and Peacock, starting on July 26, 2024. In a daily show, he will speak with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico and offer his unique perspective on what’s happening in Paris. He will explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and meet with athletes and their loved ones.

After revealing the news, Snoop Dogg stated about his pre-game enthusiasm: “We’re going to have some amazing competitions, and of course, I will bring that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked. Let’s uplift, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?

Entertainment mogul Snoop Dogg has been a global icon for almost three decades. He is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, DJ, media personality, and businessman. Snoop Dogg is also a serial entrepreneur with interests in technology, entertainment, lifestyle, global consumer brands, and the food/beverage and cannabis industries.

During the Tokyo Olympics, Snoop Dogg and actor/comedian Kevin Hart had an off-show where they presented some of the competitions in the studio. Some of the videos made viral on social media, like when they played handball in the NBC studio or commented on water polo, among many other sports. They both agreed that water polo is a physically demanding sport that deserves more attention.

The Paris Olympic Games will begin on July 26 and continue until August 11.
