How is the 3m springboard competition scored at the Olympics?
Each judge assigns a score between 0 and 10, with 0.5-point increments for each dive. The highest and lowest scores are discarded. The remaining three scores are summed. The sum is then multiplied by the dive’s degree of difficulty to calculate the dive score. Divers perform six dives per round. The scores from all six dives are summed to determine the overall round score.
