The men’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris gets underway on Saturday, July 27, with the gold medal game to be played on Saturday, 10 August, the penultimate day of the event. As ever, the United States are firm favourites to win the competition, with all 12 members of their roster strutting their stuff in the NBA, the premier professional basketball league in the world.

However, 11 of the 12 competing nations have at least one player on their squad currently playing for an NBA team, with plenty more having plied their trade in the league at one point or another during their careers.

South Sudan is the only team without an NBA representative as it stands, with the Suns’ Bol Bol having withdrawn from their roster in the run-up to the tournament.
