2023 BMW PGA Championship: Final Round 4 Sunday tee times and pairings
Sunday’s final round tee times and groups for the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth
Ryder Cup rookie Ludvig Aberg leads by two strokes heading into the final round as he seeks to secure his first Rolex Series event victory before making his Team Europe debut in Rome. Aberg, who recently claimed his second DP World Tour title by winning the Omega European Masters in Switzerland just two weeks ago, has accumulated a score of -16 over the course of three rounds. He currently holds a lead over teammate Tommy Fleetwood and Scotland’s Connor Syme. Ryan Fox, Callum Shinkwin, and Aaron Rai are one stroke behind, with Jon Rahm at 12-under.
All 12 members of Team Europe’s Ryder Cup team, along with captain Luke Donald, will participate on Sunday. The tee-off times have been adjusted due to thunderstorms predicted for the afternoon, with a two-tee start and earlier tee times in effect. Players will be grouped in threesomes and will begin from either the 1st or 9th tee. Organizers have chosen to avoid starting groups from the 10th tee because it is a par three hole.
The action is set to commence at 3:10 a.m. ET, with the final group of Aberg, Syme, and Fleetwood teeing off at 5:30 a.m.
A total of 79 players made the weekend cut and will share the increased purse of $9 million, which is $1 million more than last year.
This year’s event is taking place one week later than it did in 2022, and it will be scheduled even further into September in 2024, as revealed in the new DP World Tour Schedule.
