2023 NHL draft first round selection order: which teams pick first?

Just weeks after the Las Vegas lifted their first ever Stanley Cup, we are ready to welcome the next generation of NHL players with the 2023 NHL Draft. The selection show will take place from the 28th to the 29th of June in Nashville, Tennessee at Bridgestone Arena.

Much like the NFL Draft, the NHL Draft has seven rounds and there will be 224 players picked over those seven rounds. The first round will be shown on ESPN, starting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. The rest of the Draft will wrap up the following day on the NHL Network, beginning at 11 a.m.

Conrad Bedard is the odds on favorite to be selected first overall by the Chicago Blackhawks. That will start a two day, seven round Draft that will culminate with the Stanley Cup Champions finishing the even with the 224th and final pick on Thursday night.

Here is what the first round draft order will look like on Wednesday night.
