There are only two men and two women remaining in the US Open, and while they will be looking to lift the trophy, they will get a nice paycheck.

The US Open is about to come to a close after quite a few spectacular, intriguing, and close matches one more year.

128 players in the men’s and the women’s categories got to New York dreaming big, looking to make an impact and go as far as possible in the fourth Grand Slam tournament of the year.

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz were the main favorites to get to the final and feature in another thrilling, hard-fought dramatic last round, this time at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The Serb confirmed what many expected, especially after having a good draw, and will now play his 36th major final, but his opponent won’t be Alcaraz, as he was defeated in the semifinals by Daniil Medvedev.

As for women, Iga Swiatek got to New York to defend her crown at the US Open, but she fell short and got kicked out of the tournament by Jelena Ostapenko. Instead, the No. 2 favorite to emerge victorious, Aryna Sabalenka, will be looking to lift her second major trophy, while the crowd’s favorite Cori Gauff confirmed her breakthrough moment by advancing to the last round.

How much do the US Open winners get?

Although the tennis events will continue to take place for the rest of the year, this is the last chance for top players to get a big money reward.

The 2023 US Open’s overall player compensation will be $65 million, an all-time high for the event, as it’s an 8% increase from 2022′s total of $60 million.
