2023 US Open: Who plays today September 1? Match times for Tiafoe, Fritz, Djokovic, Gauff
On Day 5 of the 2023 US Open, the lineup will showcase star figures including Novak Djokovic, defending champion Iga Swiatek, Taylor Fritz, and former titleholder Caroline Wozniacki.
Amid much anticipation, Day 5 of the US Open is set to start this Friday. Several top-seeded players are eager to overcome their third-round opponents and progress to the next phase of the tournament at Flushing Meadows.
One of the standout matches that all tennis enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting is Novak Djokovic’s showdown. The 36-year-old will face off against another Serbian player, Laslo Djere, in the third round of the tournament. Meanwhile, top seed Iga Swiatek will bask in the spotlight as she prepares for her third-round match in the women’s singles at Flushing Meadows. World No. 9, Taylor Fritz, will clash with Jakub Mensik from the Czech Republic.

In the women’s draw, former champion Caroline Wozniacki is set to take on Jennifer Brady, and top seed Swiatek will be on the opposite side of the net from Kaja Juvan. Over at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, Coco Gauff will square off against Elise Mertens. Additionally, there will be compelling matches featuring other notable names such as Karolina Muchova and fourth seed Elena Rybakina. In the Men’s Singles event, fourteenth seed Tommy Paul and tenth seed Frances Tiafoe will also be vying for victory on Friday.
