The 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson gets underway at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas on Thursday. Jason Day will be attempting to retain the title he won for the first time in 2023 - his last PGA win on the professional circuit.

Speith, the favorite

With Rory McIlroy and world No.1 Scottie Scheffler both absent from the field, Jordan Spieth starts out as the favorite to lift the trophy in Texas. The 30-year-old, who won the Valero Texas Open in 2021 and RBC Heritage the following year, has been given odds of +1400 ahead of Si Woo Kim at +1600 while Day is just behind at +2000.

Getting things underway will be Kevin Chappell, Taylor Pendrith and Kevin Yu. Day will tee off an hour later at 8:45 a.m. ET alongside Jordan Spieth and Sungjae Im.
